Lauren, no I didn’t do anything special. The recipe for the cupcake naturally creates a flat not domed shape top.

Thanks everyone! I have to tell you that the flower making kit has A LOT of cutters. Probably more than I need. I found smaller kits at Michael’s which is where I bought it.
